Which site did you book with? Usually a deposit is "a promise to pay and confirm a booking" so is not refundable - however there may be exceptions - have you a link for their site?

I dont know if you have stayed in the Port D'Alcudia before but I can highly recommend the complex - plus if its half board you want the complex is an Aparthotel and you can pay to have your meals - either full or half board on arrival at quite a reasonable price.
