Has anyone been to the resort of sa coma could they tell me where is best place to eat with children 1 1/2 and 3 years and anything about coma gran and beach going end of june
thanks
we went to Sa Coma 7 years ago, nice resort, great beach, from what i remember all the bars and restaurants are family friendly. We actually stayed in the Coma Gran which was absolutely brilliant. 5 mins walk to beach, close to bars, and the entertainment was excellent(we almost booked to go back there this year).
The only bad thing was the daily race for a sun loungers, but with the beach around the corner it's not really a problem.Enjoy your holiday.
Hi, We went to Sa Coma last August and loved it. The beach is fantastic!! We ate at J J's, Royal Oak, Juan's steak house,Sportsman, Britania and Kings Head. Most places have a very British menu and J J's was our favourite. Kings Head and Britania are very much the same type of place, the food wasn't great but they are fantastic places to go with young children if you want a meal and somewhere to stay all night and watch entertainment.
Thanks for that can't wait to go
For those who aren't looking British bars with British menus it's worth pointing out that Sa Coma also has some very nice Spanish restaurants which are very child friendly.
Sa Coma is a lovely quiet resort. We went in June and Sept last year and are going again on 12th June. There are lots of restaurants and all the waiters are fantastic with kids. The beach is lovely and clean. We stayed at the Vista Badia but went to Coma Gran a couple of evenings for a drink. The hotel is lovely and clean but didnt rate the pool area much (very small). We asked our kids if they wanted to stay there but they said no. Its all about personal preference isnt it?
Sa Coma itself is great, I am considering retirement there and if my 6 numbers ever come up will definately purchase a property there. We have seen it grow since our first visit in 1992. Any questions just ask because I have stayed in 6 different hotels and eaten at about 80% of the restaurants in the resort.
Hi thanks ever so much for your view sounds like a nice laid back resort and good with children thanks
When did you stay at Vista Badia? We went last year on 11th June and 12th Sept. We had no problem getting sunbeds and the pool was never very busy. We upgraded to all inclusive as we got totally fed up of the food in the restaurants - can you recommend any nice ones for when we go in 11 days (on the countdown)!
Ta
Sue J
We like to eat at El Sol on the main road, Salvatores (out of the Vista Badia main door and turn right and its the first restaurant you come to), the Kings Head for plenty of food at good value, the restaurant on the rounabout (cant remember its name) who serve excellent steaks and also we have never eaten at a bad chinese in Sa Coma yet and there are plenty. Over the years many have come and gone but we always vary our choice because we like to try different foods and environments etc and I really cant remember a bad meal apart from the Tex Mex which is one of them that has gone.
If you like a good night in a friendly place go to The British Sports Bar which although its name isn't all that apt is really owned by Gabriel, a lovely Mallorcan man who runs a fantastic family pub. He's got pool tables, air hockey chess boards etc etc and now 4 computers which the kids throng around for their MSN. Over the years he has become a firm friend and he invites us in for meals in the afternoon before he opens when we have lovely family Mallorcan meal. Tony his youngest spends many an afternoon with us at the beach and it really is heart warming watching him and my son play together even though they cant speak each others lingo - we get by perfectly.
Have a lovely holiday!!!
Thanks for that Barnio, there is a couple there that we havent tried, so will look forward to that. We went to Kings Head, which is the kids favourite. But I wanted to try something a bit different to "cheap and cheerful".
We ate at the hotel for 5 days half board its really good value and great food, after that we found the royal oak was good for food and was always busy which is always a good sign.
The caprabo supermarket is very cheap if you plan on cooking at the hotel.
The coma gran itself is really good ive been twice now and enjoyed it both times, great entertainers and hotel staff.
Hope this helps ........
Thanks thats really helpful. how much is the half board for 5 days? thanks
Hi sorry i havent replyed quickly , Half board cost 240 euros it includes all drinks for breakfast but not for evening meal .
Me and 3 friends are coming to Sa Coma on 13 June for a long weekend NO KIDS :cheers. Are we going to be surrounded by families or will there be a mix of people in the resort? Not looking for anything wild but would like a nice meal and a few lively bars. Maybe Magalluf would have been a better choice?
I have been to sa coma 3 times and I like sa coma lovely little resort with a very nice beach.
What I like about Sa Coma is its close proximity to S'illot, Cala Millor and Cala Bona. I'm sure we will find a few decent places to eat. Just hope it's not TOO quiet .
Any replies appreciated. What is Sa Coma like for singles???
Not sure about clubs as never visited any as i have 2 small kids , but im sure if you want to party a bit there will be plenty for you to do , Delaneys , Kings Head & and The Britania bar have live acts / bands every night.
Hope this helps Dirk
Thanks for that dirk. I have been to Sa Coma before but with other families, once early May and October. Both times it was very quiet. Just hope its a bit busier next weekend. No bothered about nightclubs just a few lively bars. I'm sure we'll have a great time; freedom from the kids for a few days
