Hi, when we were there the kids club had 3 reps and took at least 16 children in each club. Sometimes we had to queue but that was because my son loved it so much that i had to make sure he got in. Im sure your kids will be entertained in club which is 2 hours a day and the hotel also has a big play area , pool table arcade games table tennis and the day time entertainers held competitions during the day and kids were always playing them as well as adults so you should be okay. The best thing is that it is a small hotel so all the kids get to know each other anyway so they keep themselves entertained as well.
hi sharon, thankyou we dont go for ages and im thinking we'll need it. just hope its ok. if anyone else can give us more information that would be great thanks nickie
We have been to continental park hotel 2 times out of the last 3 years and we go again on 19th June, we too were upset that it was no longer a superfamily hotel and didnt seem to get anywhere with Thomson. What can I say about this hotel, yes the rooms are small - but to be honest its not a big deal you are hardly in your room. We loved this hotel, the location its not as busy as alcudia and port de alcudia but its a decent enough location, taxi's are fairly cheap to the port.
The entertainment was always good in continental park, the reps very good - the hotel staff very friendly, so all in all we were always very happy and I do hope its the same this year.
If the entertainment is not too hot, there is a bar about a 5 min walk from the hotel called cheers bar and that was always fantastic for the kids.
Food has always been a problem for me being a veggie, but previously my partner thought the food was very good - so hope its ok again.
Heres hoping for another great holiday at continental. See some of you there - a lot seem to be arriving on 22nd - we are there on the 19th for a week.
Andrea and Joe.
just hope that the mozzies aren't that much of a problem when we're there
Thanks for that. So pleased that people are being more positive. As long as the hotels clean and we can get 'something' to eat, I don't mind. You must rate the hotel if this is your third visit. Whats around and about? I actually thought it was in Alcudia when we booked it so was a little surprised to find it wasn't. We've been to C'an Picafort three times and enjoyed that so hopefully we'll enjoy this aswell.

Dont worry there is plenty in playa de muro and the port is only down the road. There are a few pubs/restaurants near the beach, we never got stuck for something to do - its not out in the sticks - there are plenty of shops in playa de muro - yes they are a big "samey". If your up for a twenty minute walk you get to the more commercial part on the way to the port and its good also.
The beach is fantastic I have got to say one of the best beaches I have been to - the water is clear with fish swimming around your feet.
We do rate this area and this hotel, I have travelled a bit in spain and greece and I have to say this is the best for families - you really do have to try cheers bar it is good, although the last time we were there 2 years ago there was a DJ called Sevi who was fantastic he made the place - everyone really friendly though.
As for the hotel we really do like it cause the staff were so friendly, the entertainment was great too, although the rooms are small I have to say its one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in.
To be honest though our son did not want to go in the kids club so we never put him in, although he did enjoy the evening entertainment.
Hope its good for you all and hope that it not being a Thomson superfamily hotel hasnt affected things too much.
Bye for now
Andrea and Joe.
It sounds great. I had been getting worried as this is the first time we have booked for two weeks and with all the less than positive reports I was begining to think we'd made a mistake. Our kids are 8 & 12 and have never bothered with kids clubs so I wasn't concerned about that. Last time we went to Majorca two years ago we stayed in a big hotel in C'an Picafort which we found too big so this year we opted for a smaller hotel. With all the negative reports we were wondering if we'd done right. However I feel much better after reading your comments so thanks for that. I've no doubt there will be changes but hopefully as long as the hotel is ok and in a nice area we'll have a good time. Hope your return is a good one. Please let us know how you find it this time.
Thanks
Sharon
No problem when we get back we will post and let you know how it went and if its changed much.
Speak soon - we are off on Thursday.

Just read the reviews on holiday watchdog also, the reviews are very positive with the two ratings of 10/10 and 9/10
We were close to changing are holiday at one stage so glad we didnt?
We will be happy to have a few drinks after all the stress before going with the other reviews.
We always rated Hotel Continental Park a 9/10 - never had a problem - I am a fussy eater (vegetarian) so I do usually have problems going anywhere all inclusive.
I felt quite sad that the hotel was receiving such bad reviews, so hopefully the problems are ironed out and things are on the up and up.
We are off tomorrow should be there this time tomorrow night.
Enjoy yourselves and I will write when I return.
Andrea and Joe.
Certainly sounds like things are on the up which is great. Hope all those going in the next few days have a great time and enjoy themselves.
Let us all know how you get on (hopefully it wll be good news for those of us yet to go)
Sharon
I'm off on Sunday so glad the reviews are sounding alot better, i'll be reporting on here when i get back and hopefully it'll be good news, mind you i am easily pleased
we had the best time. The hotel is great, the food, the staff, the entertainment, everything. If I had to say one bad thing about the time we were there, it would have to be some of the other guests and nothing to do with the hotel.
Esmee and Stuart work really hard to keep everyone entertained and do a really good job, my children were not bored at all and really enjoyed them selves.
The hotel is quite small so all the children get to know eachother, and there are plenty of activities going on to keep them entertained.
The rooms are fine, we expected something really tiny after reading reviews on the net, but they werent, we had a family room, and we had no problem at all with it.
The food, ok yes you do get chips for every meal, but you dont have to choose to eat them! there are other options, may be there could be alittle more choice, but thats if you really want to be picky.
I would have no problem in booking again to go to this hotel, so if you are booked to go, i wouldnt worry, its a very nice place to stay, so look forward to it, it seems to me that people just moan for the sake of it...
Hi all, I have just got back from two weeks at the Continental Park, and i wish so much that i hadnt stressed myself with everyones negative comments, and reviews on other sites, as Esmee and Stuart work really hard to keep everyone entertained and do a really good job, my children were not bored at all and really enjoyed them selves.

Thanks, thats great news and such a relief after reading all those negative reviews. Glad you had a good time and found the hotel, staff etc good. I'm going to try and stop stressing over it now as it seems we're getting more positive reports from those who have been recently. I agree that some people will just moan for the sake of it which is a shame as it spoils it for others and makes you wary about going. I'm not going till August so have a few weeks left. Thanks again.
The main difference we found was the childrens entertainment with Stuart and Esmie, we personally after seeing the entertainment before found it to be lacking and did not feel that they were the best entertainers, one night the thomson reps did a stint and you can see the difference especially with their enthusiasm.
The food was of the same high standard, we never found the rooms a problem, we just used it as a base to get out and about.
The hotel is one of the cleanest we have stayed at, maid service to all the rooms daily and everywhere you look they are constantly cleaning. The staff are very friendly, sue the english receptionist is so helpful and the thomson reps were very helpful and friendly.
If there is anything that can be improved upon its the childrens entertainment and maybe one more toaster so that there are not queues for toast at breakfast.
I was astounded to hear some of the guests saying that they were going to try for compensation and were actively looking for things to complain about. One woman was arguing with the hotel staff and choosing a personal daily food menu because she said the food was not to her liking when I asked why she said "I want english sausages, not this foreign crap", I replied "why come to spain then", I am vegetarian and for me the food was a bit limited but my partner and son had no problems whatsoever and ate very well over the week.
There is absolutely no pleasing some people, but having been on quite a few foreign holidays I have to say you are on to a winner with continental park.
Have a great holiday guys we did and met some lovely people.
Andrea, Joe and James.
Glad you had a good time and good to hear someone saying saying positive things about the hotel. Wherever you go you will always find someone with something to moan about. I've read a couple more reviews on the watchdog site which have both been from people who have just got back. They, like you were very positive about the continental and even felt that as the season went on it would get into its stride and improve even more. This is the hotels first season as All Inclusive so there are bound to be teething problems but hopefully by the time we go in August everything will be fine. The more I hear the better I feel so thanks for posting your comments so quickly after your return.
Sharon
