just booked our first trip to Turkey for September (dalyan ) staying at the Holiday Calbis Hotel
Any tips on good bars and restaurants
we prefer the social talking bars not ones with loud disco music blaring into your ear drums all night long
Is the shopping good or is it typical tourist souvenirs
last question can you buy hamlet cigars in the shops or are they all turkish cigars ?
In my experience cigars are quite expensive in Turkey and can be difficult to source - best to buy them in duty free.
I never noticed any bars with bouncing music when we were there. Found a few nice relaxing places to have a quiet drink.
Shops are touristy and theres not a lot of them, but there is the market once a week.
Dalyan is a lovely place and if you like relaxing places, you have picked the perfect place.
Duty free is open 24 hours at Dalaman airport, and as peatr said, you can buy your cigars there.
Enjoy your holiday
Lynn
thanks for that info
You will love it, going back in one week
If you want any more tips etc, let me know...either message me or pm and i'll get back to you.
hi there dont normally like recommending restaurants everybodys opinion is different we used a restaurant called u&me gecit it is located just off the river the street is called gecit sok which is on a cross rds with carsi st near okul hotel and belediye hotel, owner is called eray dursun if you use this retaurant he has a boat which he takes is customers out on but you would have to ask because he is not pushy dalyan is probably the most relaxing holiday i have had in turkey due most of the people live there all year round not like other resorts where they are there just for the season to make as much as they can.
