Hi just wondered if anyone has used this company before. I booked online yesterday for 2 weeks in Turkey, had confirmation emails through fine for hotel buit still waiting for flight and transfer confirmation.

I wasn't worried about using them as the website says they are part of ATOL and ABTA, but after looking on the web today I found some comments saying not to use them as they are (comments removed ... David HT Mod). Says this is also true of Media Travel.

So I am now really worried! Only ever used well know TO's before but got a good price from these and all looked legit...

Hopefully someone can tell me that they have booked with UK Travel Shop before and all was fine!!!

Hi Saz ... UK Travel Shop and Media Travel are trading names of the Freedom Travel Group, which is a subsidiary of the Co-operative Travel Group.

Other comments which you have picked up elsewhere have been removed as they could be potentially libelous, and are best not repeated here.

I have booked through UK travel shop for the first time. Travelling Sunday, received all confirmation by e mail. Flight Shuttle transfer and hotel voucher. Was a little concerned because I didn't receive them straight away.I think when booking they should talk to you more there was long gaps of silence, and you are left wondering what is happening

I booked online so didnt speak to anyone. I was also concerned as recieved the hotel voucher straight away but not the transfer / flight ones. They came through a few days later though so was relieved. Looking forward to it now, week on Friday I go!

Im sure they will be fine, its just a different way of doing things that the large TOs ive booked with in the past. More competitive prices this year though so thought why not!!

There telephone staff are useless

Hard to make them understand what your needs are and understanding them is difficult to

Hopefully my holiday will go well but from first experience with them I won't be booking with them again!

My opinion ande experience of course

I certainly will not book with them again. I rang with a query and the person could not help me, had no idea. He got someone elso to come on the phone. I think if you are in this type of business you have to be able to understand what the customer needs.

My holiday in July had no problems at all - really good value and having the flight, transfers and hotel separately worked fine.

I would definitely book with UK Travel Shop again. I did book online though so can't comment on their telesales.
