The marmaris area this year had it's lowest rainfall in Wintertime for many years.
GEORDIENAT, The weather is hotter in October than it is in May, I have seen temperatures at 36 every day last year and I was their on two occasions 10th to 17th and 23rd to 30th, Yes it did rain for 8 hours from 8pm to 4am on one day with torrential rain that caused floods everywhere, As said it does get cooler in the evening and a light jacket is needed.

Well, maybe we were unlucky as we went to turkey at the end of june and had amazinging tempretures of 45 degrees but then had a full day of cloud and rain. It was the first time we went on holiday for a week useally we go for a fortnight.
It was the first time we expeircence rain aborad.
but i must say it was not our year for good weather as later on in the year we went to menorca and had rain their to is this signs of the ozone or was we just unlucky!!!!

what is it like in Turunc compaired to Olu weather wise and the area.

was thinking of going perhaps in September???

like Olu for quiet and no fast food chains and loud karaoke bars and yobs!!!!

Regarding the weather - don't think its much different as its only about 3 hours away. In September the evenings will still be pretty hot.

The area is beautiful - Turunc is quieter than Olu and less commercialised, but you are in easy reach of Icmeler and Marmaris by boat or dolmus if you want a lively night out.
The nightlife in Turunc, is very low key, there's plenty of restuarants for a 2 week holiday, and there is a small amount of entertainment in a couple of bars at peak times, but the music stops by about midnight. If you just want a quiet evening meal or drink at night you will get that, without having to listen to loud music from the next bar.

Something that guests of ours noticed when they stayed there compared to the Olu area, is that they felt the restaurant and bar staff had more time for their guests, as they are not so busy.

It is very much a family-orientated resort, and in September seems to be mostly middle-aged couples.

It was a minimum of 27 from the 9th to the 16 th June last week.

We were there last week.
At the beginning of the week the evenings were slightly cool & breezy, but quite pleasant. We didn't need our aircon on in our apartment. Towards the end of the week they were hotting up, would say in 2 weeks evenings will be very warm.
