Hello, hope you can help me
We are planning a trip down south, maybe to cornwall, and are looking for a campsite.
I know there are lots of campsites in cornwall, as ive been many times when i was a little girl, in my gran and grandads caravan, but i have totally forgot which sites we went.
We are a party of 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and a 5year old lad, plus a small dog.
We will be taking two tents, a bbq and a gas stove ( but ive heard most campsites dont allow you to make your own bbq on site?)
Is this correct?
We want a campsite which is close to the beach, close to a local supermarket, has a swimming pool and kids playground on site, and preferably a small shop on site.
Thanks very much
Nicola
Any idea whereabouts in Cornwall? If you are interested in North Cornwall, Hendra would be my recommendation, just outside Newquay. Loads of beaches nearby to choose from, indoor and outdoor pools, onsite supermarket and entertainment. There's a couple of nice playgrounds on the site too and a Morrisons supermarket about 2 minutes away. We have used a desposable bbq there a couple of times so don't think you'd have a problem. Think they allow dogs now but you'd have to check.
Yes Hendra would be the one that you want if you want the beach, sea and BBQ's

this is where we went last year, theres a nice bay 2 min drive away. lots of restaurants/pubs 10 min walk . the site itself is nice, dogs are allowed and bbq,s. there is a small bar and shop onsite but they seemed a little expensive. the pool and water slide is free

I have checked out Hendra, and i think it says we cannot bring a dog in August, so this campsites out
We'd like to stay in Newquay
Thanks
hi yummymummy
not worth the visit!!
Eden project and Minack are a must-see but some attractions, e.g. Jamaica Inn, are stuck in a time-warp!
I haven't been able to find many review sites but you can follow this link for some reviews: http://www.cornwallinformation.com/things-to-do.php. Or you can check out the Cornwall tourist board for rave reviews of everything!
