Nothing to stop you - just remember YOU have to carry it - It also counts towards any luggage allowances.

Will I be ok taking my own mixed Cd's? I haven't bought them, I have made them up myself and put my own music onto blank discs. Then put them into sleeves. So they are not original cd's just 4 mixed music cd's.

Of course. You can take whatever CDs you like.

I'm not sure if I've misunderstood your question , but why on earth would the airline care what's on your CDs?

What I meant is that the Cd's are songs that I have downloaded and put onto blank discs therefore the discs aren't shop bought in original cases. Also songs I have mixed from other Cd's. So for example I have a Cd called Summer Hits and wrote this on the disc then put into a plastic sleeve.

I haven't bought copied Cd's from the bloke in the corner of the local pub but I don't want my Cd's to be confiscated, if you know what I mean?

Even if you had bought copied Cd's from the bloke in the corner of the local pub I don't see that it would be a problem.
Airport security have no interest in ensuring that copywrite laws aren't broken, they are there to ensure the safety of the airport and aircraft.

Thank you for taking the time to reply :)

I know that it was a silly question but I worry about EVERYTHING when I go on holiday and get so stressed worrying about it all. Once I get there though I do finally relax and enjoy myself.

Just read this, better late than never. have you thought of an iPod or MP3 player? you get loads of music on and they are neat and easy to carry. If you want external speakers you can get a docking station which do not weigh much. I've been converted to this even at my age!! :gluck :gluck

Is it OK to take vinyl albums? I'm a tad worried that the difference in electric current might mean that my portable turntable will play at a different speed and ruin the sound of my "AC/DC does Val Doonican" album!!!

Hey come on guys....I was only joking. I just thought this thread was rather amusing. I'm a committed mp3 user which I play through my blackberry-enabled PDA with its 4GB micro SD card.

Anyway I love the electrical surges that precede power cuts....leading to music by candle-light....had to get back to AC:DC somehow! Think about it!

you're good! an ipod is about the worst quality way of playing mp3 music. However, let's get back to relevant things....when i'm sitting under the shade of a large Cypress with the cacophony of sound from the cycadas, other than the background strains of Antonis Remos singing Kardia Mou Min Anisiheis, what more could a humble Brit wish for.....save the sound of another glass of retsina swirling into my glass.....πολύ ζωντανή Κρήτη
