By far the worst was Flyjet, an absolute nightmare. They only had about 3 planes and were always having problems with lenghty delays. Good to see they no long exist. They were used c/o xl and had no control whatsoever.
I've had very few problems with EasyJet and of late had an excellent service with Eurocypria, very well organised.
Robby
but the worst airline I have ever flown with is Garuda (Indonesian) airlines when I went to Australia.
They were awful!
OK, it was a cheap flight compared to others, and I know the saying, you get what you pay for, but
I tell you....for what we endured, it wasn't cheap enough
The air hostesses were very rude (unless you were a bloke) and they kept short changing everyone
-whether they were a bloke or not. (Yes, we were charged for everything except for one drink when
we crossed the equator.)
They were giving people US Dollars instead of English Pounds in their change, and not at the then
current exchange rate - just like for like!
When challenged, they decided they didn't or couldn't speak much English!
Myself and many others just took our change right out of their hands!)
The pillows were as thin as a slice of bread, the blankets were like sand paper...
The seats were so cramped together, we took it in turns to sleep under them!
And the flight attendants didn't stop us.)
I lie to you not - it was bad!
A woman sneaked a Chihuahua on the plane in her large *Mary Poppins* style bag - yes she did -
and the flight staff didn't even notice!
It was bad enough that it wasn't noticed at Charles De Gaule airport, where the lady boarded, but the flight
attendants didn't know either - even though she kept walking past them to take her strangely sounding bag
to the toilet!
(When they were alerted (by a few passengers) we had to turn back to CDG and the woman, her bag and dog
were removed from the plane.)
Relatives of mine began to-ing and fro-ing between here and Australia after my trip, so I made sure that none
of them ever flew with Garuda! No way!
Also i enjoy Qantas alot too, I find there seats in Economy roomier and more legroom then other long haul carriers.
My worse airline for both short haul and long haul has to be BA. Out of 4 flights, only one has gone ok with out a problem (LAX-LHR). Shuttles from MAN are continuously cancelled, Long hauls lose your bags, (before T5!!) and the onboard service and seats in economy are just awful.
I havent flown on a charter aircraft for a good 5 years but last time it was Thomson, only to Mahon but my, those seats were tiny and the legroom was awful, im only 5ft8 and my knees were digging into the seat in front. Just glad it was only a 2hr 30 min flight!
Also before they went bang - Helios.
Worst: First Choice. Tacky turquoise seats and cramped. Not keen on Thomas Cook either.
I have to say That I am always very pleased with a service of Wizzair and Ryanair...
My worst experience wasn't actually airline but airport... Warsaw Etiuda Terminal... Just disaster. Not even place to seat, queues going 100m outside the terminal! Hopefuly they will replace it with proper terminal soon.
have just flown longhaul with Thomsons but was not that impressed, im not saying that i wouldnt fly with them again but so far i prefer first choice by far
my worst has to be ryan air for short haul, my first experience with them was horrible with really rude stewardess on board.
for long haul worst has to be british airways after a nasty 11 hours of hell coming back from the us.
My best again is ba had a lovely flight on a half empty 747 which was fantastic.
