Just thinking about going to Alvor early Oct. Will everywhere still be open at this time of year. Have been in Sept before and had a lovely week, so would not want to be dissappointed.

We have often been in October and never had a problem in fact we will be there this October so hope the weather is kind to us 
Absolutely we visited in mid-October last year, loads of places to eat and drink and the weather was lovely.
