Quick question - we went to Luxor and Aswan in 1997 (!) and found out, whilst we were there, that the local children loved sweets, scrunchies, pencils, pens (actually the adults liked the pens too). Sadly, I didn't know in advance or I'd have taken niknaks with me.

So can anyone tell me please - has it changed much in the last decade? And does it apply in Sharm? If so, what should I take? I love the people so will take some with me, if it is wanted.
