Sanjiiiiiiiiiiiii
as long as there isnt any by the Hotel Ruidor
thanks for putting the link on sanji also it was interesting to read about the atrium beach. Carol
Any one no if the building works near palm beach are still there? Going on the 12th of august
Does anyone know the situation with the building work opposite the Pelicanos/Ocas? Has most of the heavy building work been done now? Parents going in December so just wondered if there will be any noise.
We were there in May/June and I didn't hear a thing
We are just back from the Rosamar and the building work for those big gamelos apartments was ongoing all the time, only stopping when it rained lol. We didnt know a thing about this so wasnt too impressed at the view and being woken up in the morning by various hammers, machines, beeps, shouting etc.
I was quite surprised (and a bit disappointed) to see that the large plot of land between Gemelos 20 and Hotel Castilla? (next to Rio Park) which has been used for years as kids' football pitches, even with changing rooms, is now being built on. I have no idea what they plan to build. As yet they are still down at what I assume is underground car park level so there isn't much disturbance but it's one to keep in mind for the future. Depending on what they are up to it could affect Rio Park and Castilla hotels and Alhambra and Gemelos 4 apartments. Gemelos 20 shouldn't be affected too much, as the back of the apartment buildings face the site. It's also wiped out a good bit of on-road free parking!
The building will be a Cultural/Community Centre. It is expected to be no higher than three stories, but who knows? It will be interesting to see if work on that one stops during August.
Just come back from the the Vista Marr & what looks like the Twin Towers has been erected between it & the Rio Park, The banging started at 08.00 every morning, I'd just got of to sleep after listening to the knuckle scrapers coming home shouting & bawling at 5 am.

Hi pebbles
If my memory serves me well, the work on the Poniente project and the Cultural centre will continue.

I wondered about both of these, since they are council run projects.
Thanks sanji.
