Hi,

I think most of the spa's or places that do turkish baths/massage will offer a medical massage. Certainly the ones I've been to will. Someone else may be able to advise on a good one, but I've just had a fantastic turkish bath and massage at Club Exelsior, I can't comment on the medical massage available there though.

Sympathies with the lower back pain. Have you considered seeing a chiropracter at home? I went for a few sessions and it did me the world of good. Had an initial session which cost £50 and £20 per session thereafter.

i also have a bad lower back after a bad fall last year, i had some medical treatment in our hotel in turkey last mth about 3-4 half hour sessions a week, but it hasnt helped me but felt nice at the time, this medical treatment i had involved some massage and a vibrating type machine. ive also went to a chiropractor last year after my fall for 3 mths and sadly that didnt cure me either but did ease the pain a bit, so like you im wondering what to do next,so if you do come across any other medical treatment that doesnt involve this vibrating machine that might be worth a go

I have been seeing osteopaths and chiropractors for years for my neck and shoulder and occasionally lower back. When one chiropractor left, I found her replacement absolutely useless. Repeated visits did no good. In the end I gave up and went elsewhere to a different practice and one visit did the trick! So I think you all need to be aware that they are not all the same. If one can't resolve your problem, you should try another practitioner.

However these sort of problems never get completely cured. They do keep flaring up from time to time.

But please everybody, do not give up. Keep trying.

I also suffer with back pain and find the hot weather in Turkey helps.
I have had a recent assesment and have had pain relief injections which has really been benificial.
Check out the web as certain exersises can help strenthen your back which help with the pain

Get your GP to send you to a pain clinic, they will recomend injections or tablets, worth a try.
Any form of massage will help for a time but can not get rid of the underlying prob, nice though !!
