first choice have changed hotel for holiday at christmas

Morning

I have just had a letter from First Choice this morning that the contract for the Houda Golf and Beach Resort has been cancelled for the full winter 2008/2009 this it the hotel I was meant to be going to.

They have changed our hotel to the Thalassa Village Skanes , it looks good from what I can see on line. I know these things happen and to be honest I,m not that fussed at them changing the hotel as it has been done in plenty of time but im wondering if anyone knows this hotel and has stayed there recently

im off to do some more research on this hotel before I inform hubby of the change

just to say we have accepted change of hotel , and i,m still looking forward to going to tunisia for the first time

There are recent reviews on HT, I would suggest that as the first review is SO different from all the rest that perhaps it is not the best review to base your judgement on :que

I have checked out the links and given the biggest % of the reviews are good for this hotel im now really looking forward to going

came back from there 27-07-08 after 2weeks not bad ,not sure what it will be like at christmas. in door pool not huge,accom. in villas, quite spread out, but grounds keep well food quality good staff very friendly but a small tip every once in while goes a long way, evening entertainment good as well, you should have a good time

I admit its been two years since i was at this hotel but we read every review and we were rather apprehensive ..... we had the most wonderful holiday there .... not sure about the time of year you are going.... we have stayed next two hotels down the year after and they are much the same in regards to service ..but i personally found the food at the Thalassa village better...just remember enjoy!...

it's a shame about Houda it is a good hotel, but what people have told me Thalassa is very good. Lots of people i know have chose this hotel and keep going back time and time again.

thats good to know the hotel is a good one , looking forward to going , just got balance of holiday to get paid and then can really look forward to going.
