just returned last week. The fires are well under control. They are in the south of the island and apparentley were started by a couple of men from a different country. From Faliraki where we were staying, you could see the cloud accasionally and the faint smell of smoke and when we travelled down to Lindos by boat you could see the water planes flying over the fires(only smoke visible) Lindos was untouched. Didn't see any falling ash and nobody seemed affected.
