Aye, the pools got shut twice when we were there, once due to glass in the pool and the other time due to an "accident".....whatever that means - I drew my own conclusions there, however I'd rather they shut them than just let people in really. A couple of people cut themselves on the glass that time which is horrible. Why there would be glass in a swimming pool I have no idea........who would do that?

Did those dragonflies bite? I saw them loads but they never came near enough to you to bother you, they were so quick. You couldn't catch one easily. My husband tried a few times (why bother I thought :rofl )

I asked my daughter (8 year old) what she liked best about the holiday and she said "the entertainment", she made a few friends and spent most nights dancing in front of the stage. She's probably too young to realise that E3 aren't as good as Steps or Girls Aloud.......or whoever she likes listening to :que As I say, we've seen much worse than E3 on other holidays, they get repetitive but they were ok for us. She still wishes she was there, unlucky it's back to school on Monday for her (we are in Scotland).....thank goodness the school hols are almost over for us!!

It's bad about that floor giving way - I stayed in the older part with no probs whatsoever. Our apartment was great.

Hi Hankpotter,
We stayed in the older side in May and never had any issues, in fact in 7 years of visiting the Aliathon we have never had an issue with the rooms etc....

Hi Colatips,
Who asked you to stop playing cards ?
Or was it the game you were playing ? strip poker anyone :rofl

Maybe it was Happy Families !!

I prefer to take pass the pigs, alot more fun and easy to take to the bar, plus once you start playing it everyone else wants a go :cheers

Colalips - the glass was in the pool next to the reception. Think it might've been put in there by one of the teenagers who were hanging around that area in the evenings when we were there, they bought alcohol in bottles from the shop I think......everywhere else on the complex served drinks in plastic glasses.......can't think where else it would be from!!

it was 10,oclock at night and we were not hurting anyone

must be honest never saw many teenagers but george at the pool where you were was really nice

I think it may have just been when we were there.........they weren't causing a problem in general.....yes George was really nice as was Marina at the other bar.

laurababes26 - did you use the swimear on your child? My daughter suffers from bad ear infections at home but has never suffered on holiday but thought this would be great to take just in case for the medical bag.The talk of ear infections while on holiday worries me as it is such a painful thing. :( :(

laura babes26 - yeah, i might also buy those ear plugs that you can get from boots aswell for swimming just to be on the safe side. i went into boots today and asked for swimear but they dont do it - apart from the plane do you know where to get it from? :tup

Baldman,
Hi I hope you don't mind me butting in to your conversation, but I brought some swimear today for my little girl in preparation for our holiday, I had it from my local pharmacy it was £4.99...
I also went to Boots yesterday I asked for it at the pharmacy and although they didn't stock it, the pharmacist did say if I had trouble getting it that he would order it for me......Hope this is of some help....Also I think if you search for it online you would be able to get....
Simone ;)
