Hi everyone,just like to say a big thank you for all the advise i have had in the past couple of days,

spike,iow-paul,debs,dunk.Well i went online to thomson and found 2 ht in caligute,Santa Monica and Silla Goa Resort looking at the photos on the both it looks like they have a separate sitting area which i dare say would fit a single bed there for daughter.The flights are with first choice which says the seats are 33inch but if i wanted to go for star class premier seats its half the price monarch was asking,it has slashed the total cost by 600,has anyone stayed in either of these hotels who could confirm that it is a separate sitting area.i will keep my fingers crossed coz i really like the look of them both.THANK YOU.

I would strongly advise against Santa monica having stayed there for a month it is not very clean (we've stayed at many hotels in Goa & this is the worse), some of the rooms with seperate sitting room are overlooking a toilet roll factory & rubbish.

We've stayed at Sonnesta Inns & these have seperate rooms & the hotel is direct access to the beach. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel, however it is more expensive then Santa Monica but worth it. If you do book here I wouldn't go half board as it's not worth it.I think Cosmos are the are the ones with seperate rooms.

Thanks AJ,do you know anything about the Silla Goa Resort,i really want to stay with the first choice flights could i do my hotel with a different tour opperator.i will keep trying i dont mind paying the bit extra as long as im getting what i want,thanks.

I've not stayed at the Silla Goa but it looks ok, have you read the reviews on Holiday truths & Trip Advisor as this may help you decide.

Thomson also do Sonesta Inns, might be worth checking.

We went to have a look round Silla Goa in March as we are staying there in November. Didn't get to see any of the rooms, but the gardens, pool area, bar and restaurant area are lovely. Very clean and the gardens are lovely. Can't wait to get there now.

Hi there! We've stayed at Silla Goa a couple of times. Rooms are very nice with seperate sitting area, all rooms are a/c and have tv, they also provide 'home comforts' - kettle, hairdryer, bedside lamps to name but a few! Only downside is the hotel lacks atmosphere but as it's near to Calangute 'town centre' (about 100 yds) and there are some bars very close by that's no big thing.

Thanks very much andy that was just what i was looking for,the rooms are perfect,i will book that one,what date in jan 09 are you going,we are going on the 10th to 24th,we are celabrating my hubbys birthday while we are there.Thanks again.Mrs T. :cheers

Hi andy,sorry i never got back to only we had a family tradgidy my niece of 12yrs got thrown from her horse and died tuesday.the dates you are there we will be there as well hope we can have a drink with you and a chat.Mrs T. :wave:
