Only worried in case the diamond I saw and purchased was not the diamond that was set in the neckless. The program "The real hussel" show you all the different that you can be conned. One thing they tell you never be parted with something you are buying or something you have bought. That's all!!

im almost sure my SIL got hers from there, tho i ll check, is it in a back street?? it sound familia,,,,,,,,,,,,,,she paid, a LOT for a 1 and half carat emerald cut diamond with a half carat either side done in a trinalge brilliant cut, its really nice,,,,, they said it would be worth double, she got it valued here and they gave it as a thousand less, she rang the jeweller in icmeler who paid (well they have he has to refund it he says) for another valuation who got it as the same as they paid,,,,,the colour and grade are the same as the jeweller had,,
she used some inheritance ,its to pass to her daughter so shes ok with the valuation, but not quite the amount they were led to believe?

Ruby the jeweller is not on a back street. It is the next main street up from the one where the Love Boat and Chef are. Wil try and find out he name of the street.

dougal have you had the diamond valued here .I have purchased loads of jewellery in turkey including diamonds and never been ripped off yet.It is not just about insurance but if you get it valued and it is of the same worth as you paid for it then you have not been cheated ,if they tell you when you bought it that it was worth more than what you paid for it you have still not been cheated you have had your moneys worth .Some jewllers will tell you that the items you are buying are three times more than what you paid for them ,so you think you have won a watch so to speak .Get it valued by a reputable jewellers in this country ,not some two bob place where only sales assistants work. I am sure you are worrying about nothing.

Thanks for that. Hey! anyway it will be left to the Kids who are now in their 30's so It won't bother me then. Think we will buy the ear rings to match this year.

yes it was ruby my SIL went to. she said hes paid for BOTH the valuations,,got the cash this week, she said he made her feel so comfortable not like some others, shes a very wary person,

I thought he was OK. My wife wore the neckless at our daughters wedding last year and wants ear rings to match to wear at our sons wedding this year. Thank God I only have two kids!!!!! Yep we spent a lot of money also for one and a half carat sotitare diamond. Daughter has already got her eyes on it!!!
