Can anyone advise when is the best time to book this hotel and who to book it through for the best price?
I am booked for next year already but fancy this hotel for 2010, even now on many sites it's booked for next year so I am thinking that I will need to get in there very early.
I will be travelling peak season end July/1st week August.
Thanks

                Hi Pasty,
I always tend to book in August for my May holiday the following year, I always seem to get a decent price this way.

We are booked for November with Thomas Cook via Barrhead Travel. Barrhead had an offer on their site which was cheaper than the TC site.

hi, just booked flamingo oasis for four adults through thomson for £837 at the end of september...first time in benidorm for us, seen some ghastly reviews about this hotel over the last week or so, and seen the youtube video of the wacky races for sun loungers, is this likely to improve after the half terms over???

                Hi Puzzlemonkey.......
  and welcome to HT.
Are you sure that you got 4 adults for £837 at the Flamingo Oasis? That is so cheap! I just looked on Thomson and the price came out at £1738, as we are going in September. Was that £837 per couple or in total? I shall cry all weekend if that's all you paid........

By the way been to FO before, and we loved it!......Linda.

Hi Linda, I think that £837.00 will be without flights, I have just looked it up on Thomsons accom only and that looks about right for a week in September for 4 adults sharing a room.
Sue

P.S The cheapest price I ever managed to get at the Flamingo Oasis was £30.00 a night for 4 of us, it was brill!

Hi Sue, I put it in as accom only, but as 2 rooms.........

I daren't tell you what I've just paid for 3 of us for 10 nights......

If you put 2 rooms in then it will come up double the price because you are paying per room regardless of whether there are 4 people or only 2. I do understand though why you have to have more rooms, it's just a shame that you get penalised.

yup..£837 but that was just for the hotel, ive booked flights independantly with easy jet for £278 and booked online with a transfer company to get us there and back for £40 so a massive saving on a package deal, and found thomson to be the cheapest site to book the hotel through after spending several hours browsing through so called cheap sites..

                Well done Puzzlemonkey.........
  you got a bargain!
I don't think that it will be as hectic in September at the FO, and there's the rooftop pool and terrace if you're worried about getting a lounger. Anymore info you need just ask.....Linda.

Have Medplaya sold this hotel to grand resorts? if so does anyone know when?

We booked FO in May for Oct 09. Booked with Thos Cook. £376 each for a week incl flights. It is no longer showing up on TC though, just aswell I have my paperwork!! It is fortune with Thomson for same week.

I booked it a while ago for a week in November at £339 I think it was. It is showing on Direct Holidays/Thomas Cook tonight at £388 and Thomson's is £464 for the same date!

One worrying thing about Thomson's is that I put in Glasgow as the departure and the results have come up leaving from Mancheste, but there is no warning that they have changed the airport. All the same as if I had gone ahead with the booking.

Hi Luci, could it not be that the Glasgow flight is full so they are showing you Manchester as an alternative.? That has happened to me before.

Perhaps Sue, although I would be surprised for the middle of November. Regardless, it should have come up with a warning that they had changed the airport. We have a 4 hour drive to Glasgow and flying from Mancheste is out of the question unless we fly there.
Sorry to go

I've stayed at this hotel twice now (off peak)
Wouldn't stay in it during the Summer as its too far away from resort centre and I don't see the point of AI outside the winter
Found both times the hotel to be busy with stag and hen parties and have found it on the website to be quite cheap, assume this is attracting him
Found a number of reviews suggesting the same thing

I certainly wouldn't say it was cheap.
