Hi, as you may already know, Baga-Calangute-Candolim is basically one stretch of beach, and i think it would take you about15mins walking from the far end of Baga beach to Calangute steps.
From end of Baga Beach to the steps at the end of Sinquerm beach takes about 90 min at a brisk walk, how many "stops" at various shacks depends on you and will make the time considerabley longer ! Alan
Out of Santiago to main road then across to CSM road and down to the beach - takes about 10 minutes.
Turn right to Baga and to get to the river takes about 15 minutes. If you turn left to go to Calangute steps - less than 10 minutes. Nicer walk to Baga river.
Another walk is to carry on past Calangute steps and walk to the River Princess - the rotten eyesore of a ship which has been beached at Candolim since June 2000 but is used as a marker by lots of beach walkers. It takes about 45 mins but is a good one for walking off the calories.
Get the bus to the Sinquerim terminus. Then, when you get off the bus, walk alongside the Nerul river and follow the road as it climbs uphill. This will take you up to Fort Aguada - well worth the effort for the views and a visit to the fort.
