The villa is in Coral Bay and not Paphos - they are quite a way apart! It does say car esential on the web page.... You will need either a car or a bus to get into Paphos from Coral Bay, which is a resort in its own right.

Sorry, i meant to put coral bay itself not paphos. :duh
We will be renting cars but i'm just hoping that we wont need them of an evening.

I've trawled the net looking for ledgible maps but to no avail...

I'm assuming the main entertainment/food areas are somewhere around the two sort of bay areas on that map but i'm hoping we have some that aren't over a mile away.

Thanks for the link Wizard :tup

I'll have to give the site a try later because it doesn't appear to be working properly right now.

You are equidistant from Coral Bay and the village of Peyia, about 1.5 - 2 km. There are bars and restaurants in both, more so in Coral Bay, it being a holiday area.

Sorry, but I have little knowledge of eating/drinking in either area.

If you are having a car there are villages close by with some excellent places to eat. Tala and Kathikas being a couple.

Also if you are having a car, bear in mind that the legal limit for drinking and driving is 22 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 mililitres in a breathalyser test. In the UK it is 35 microgrammes.

You could try a couple of Paphos based forums whose members may be able to help with local facilities for your evening entertainment...

Cyprus100, thank you for those links, i will give them a go :tup

And thank you Mark for the heads up on the drink drive limit...I had no idea :really. With that lower limit the one drink only rule is still likely to go over...especially with some of the more liberal measures you tend to get...safer sticking to none me thinks.

Simon, you're welcome.

I'm a non-addicted alcoholic :wink i.e. I have a pint or 2 most nights but with the new(ish) lower limit I will probably not drink when over in Cyprus from now on when driving - not even 1 brandy sour.

There will be plenty of proper beer in the fridge back at the digs, though. Proper beer; Bishop's Finger, Spitfire, Whitstable Ale!! Available from Carrefour.
