I'm normally in Benalmadena, but when I do eat in Fuengirola, it's usually at Aroma in Fish Alley, or at La Caracola on the Paseo Maritimo opposite the Old London Bar (not to be confused with the London Pub)
I've never had a bad meal in either. For Aroma, if going on a weekend, it is best to book in advance, as he is always turning people away who think they can just walk in off the street on a Saturday night.
I prefer to eat at La Caracola in the afternoon, when they have the barbeque going in the old boat.
Last night we ate in Restaurante Oscar in the central area a few doors from O'Briens. Varied menu quality food and 3 courses for 7.80€! Needless to say booking is essential
I normally eat in the traditional spanish eateries but am going to be spending a 3 night break in a couple of weeks in fuengirola and was wondering if anyone knew of a decent chinese buffet restaurant in either fuengirola or benalmadena? Cheers.
Never eaten in a Chinese buffet in Fuengirola, but rate Wok Directo at Benalmadena Marina pretty much unbeatable! Alas, the English version of its website appears "down" at the moment.
Cheers will check it out.
In fish alley on the opposite side from O Briens Irish pub, about 50 metres from it there is a fabulous Chinese restaurant. The cost is ridiculously cheap, around 5/6 euro but there is a good choice, prawn crackers, hot starters, main course, sweet, coffee and free liquer to finish off. quality of meals and the service is excellent as well/ Ate there about 4 of the 5 days we were there in February
There is a very good Wok Buffet on the Carretera by the exit for Miramar in Fuengirola. Always very busy. From the Miramar exit roundabout take the road immediately before the one to Miramar (leads to Dunnes) and it is on the left about 100 yards down.
Tapas? Look no further...
Was in the one behind the Post Office last night, Gambas rebozadas (prawns in batter) y costilla con salsa barbacoa (barbecue spare ribs), marvellous!
