hi all
im need to stay in mumbai just for the night and want to book a hotel, not too expensive or too cheap.
is it worth the hassle of getting a hotel near the centre or just stay near the airport as i land at 8 pm and leave at midday the following.
could anyone please advise and point me in the right direction.
i dont think ill have the time to see anything
thanks
robbie
robbie from what im told hotels are dear in mumbai ....we are paying about 50quid a night for the one wee booked ...colleen
http://www.hostelbookers.com for some reasonably priced hotels. We have booked Hotel Benzy Palace through them.
You wont really have enough time for any sightseeing so really you would be best getting an hotel near to the airport. Have a look at this link looks like just what i need
I should mention that on the site you can only book for a minimum of 2 nights but then you contact the hotel at the contact address you are given and cancel the 2nd night and you don't get charged for it. I think you lose the 10% deposit that you have paid but that is only about £4 depending on which hotel you book.
i owe you one thanks
just booked this hotel squigs 17.88 gbp for one night..not too bad
Which hotel robbie??
the same one as you and managed to book just the one night
When are you stopping there? We are there for 3 nights at the beginning of december, so if you go after us I can let you know what it is like!
im staying there 4 jan so yeah plesae let us know..it looks ok from the reviews that i have found on the web,as i say im only there for one night ,,did you book the airport transfer?
No, will just get a pre-paid taxi, it often works out cheaper. Will let you know what the hotel is like then you will still have time to change your mind!
thanks its its not good i will loose a whopping 1.79 gbp deposit
Robbie , you can see a video clip of the hotel on this link.
that dont look too bad does it,,nice link
I bet before long we will be told off by Fiona for being !!!!
i know but at least you have helped me and answered my initial question and solved the problem that i had-many thanks once again
