Been to Goa three times twice in the north once to the south no comparison, like comparing Blackpool with Cornwall! its all down to what you want from a holiday, personally I prefer the south its cleaner less traffic and more like what Goa was like in the past, however there's not to much night life, as I say its an individual choice. Last year we went to Majorda and had a great time! going back to the same area for six weeks on 22nd Feb, not booked anywhere going to do it on the cheap! can always up and move north if we feel like!
its mostly a time share resort but you can book direct, they also have hotel rooms its just a short walk to shops and a little
further to the beach [about 10mins] we also pass a nice looking hotel The Dona Sylvia but never stayed there

We had always planned to give the south a visit, and finally got to do it on our last holiday. We did 2 nights 3 days we just got a taxi from the Marina Dourada and headed to Cavelossim and booked into Luisa by the sea. We really enjoyed it and crammed in as much as we could, so we are going to go back for 5 days (the middle of our 3 wks) and try to see a bit more this time. I would say to anyone who's thinking of going, go for it even if its a couple of days and you may be pleasantly surprised. Cavelossim is and Ideal place to give you a taster of what the south is like, and there are some top places to eat there as well as shops and the beach is within walking distance...Keith
Mobor Beach is spectacular. Love it. 10th visit Dec 09.
