You will have a hard time even trying to spend that amount, its really cheap there
a charity I support in Goa suggest as a volunteer you would need £1200 for 6 months? for housing food phone calls home etc.
thank you for your replies as always great info liz.
lizzley you could get by on about 3 or 4 hundred and you will live like a king for that ............colleen
IC's right but a lot more if you stop of at the jewerllers. sorry never been on holiday without stopping of at the jewerllers OH would think i was ill if i did'nt.
But don't forget your credit/debit cards for extravagant purchases or emergencies.
Happy Holidays,regards Paula
If all you want to do eat and drink well and buy a few bits you'll have plenty. If you go to the jewellers......how long is a piece of string?
I'm always skint and go with hardly anything, went with £60 one week 2/3 years ago! Same as over here - you live to your means, I'm sure if I was lucky enough to have £1000 to spend in a fortnight I'd do it no trouble!
we took £500 this year for two weeks, we found it hard to spend this, this time we are taking £1000 but are going for 3 weeks,
we always take £100 a day (£1400) for two weeks.that allows us to buy a bit of jewelery if she wants or maybe a visit to he lacoste shop if i decide.trips etc....that said, ive just about done them all lol.either way £1300 will be well enough dont worry.
is the diamond jewlery very expensive i am after an eternity ring 18ct
No very reasonable, there is a thread on jewerlly on here, i, am sure you will find it very helpfull, would'nt be an holiday without a bit of jewerllery. They will make to any design you wont, to whatever price you wont to pay. just check before you go how much the ring is here and you will know if you are getting a bargain. no problem with 18k
lizzley I have a great jeweller I would send you to he has made me about 10 rings now ..and he is a brill man .....colleen
I knew you would help ic,
that would be brill irishcolleen thanks
Apparenty things are likely to be 20% less this year??? - http://www.deccanherald.com/Content/Oct112008/national2008101094488.asp
Although I'll beleive that when I see it.... Good luck, by the way 1200 would last me 6 months! (or more).... Happy haolidays....
