I am usually a mossie magnet and just got back and wasn't bitten at all, and only used Avon Skin so Soft whereas I am usually covered in Jungle Formula
So you could be ok

Hi Apple we were in Nabq from 7th til 22nd Oct. This year I have been June, July, Aug, Sept and Oct and Oct was the worse. We go every year Oct. All of us suffered, mine legs, hubby ankles, son elbows and daughter a few all over!!

We go to Marsa Alam 12th nov so will take precautions. sounds silly asking you if you're sure they were mossies and not sandflies as you've been so often and should know the difference but mossies tend to bite any exposed area .....

Yes they were defo mossies. We could see them around the lights at night. My son had loads around his elbows and hubby had a ring of them around his ankles. I even have those plug ins for each room in my apartment and spray the rooms each time we go out. I think they were eating us when we were eating out in the evenings. I did use Avon Skin So Soft and mossie spray on me but nothin kept them at bay.
When we were in Dom Rep after a storm I got bitten by sandflies - stupidly walked on the beach the day after the storm! My legs and hands were also very swollen and it was not a nice experiance especially sittin on the plane watching my knees grow!

The weather in the eves is turning cooler now and I needed a cardi most nights. Friends who live in Hurghada have said that they are also getting out the jeans, boots and fleeces for the evenings. Daytime was still wonderful with a nice breeze in Nabq. My pool however was freezing. The sea was still quite warm though.

Oh well looks like I am going to be smelling nice in the evenings then smelling of mossie spray
We go Sunday so best go buy everything mossie proof

Any one know what the mozzie situation is like in Luxor at the beginning of April?
