Brilliant Fizzy, its such a relief to get your passports back. I will join you in a celebration G&T. Don't need much of an excuse do I. Good luck to everyone who is waiting for theirs or about to apply online (it's not that bad once you have done it!).

Hi Toe, my friends have downloaded and manualy filled in the old type forms, sent them to vfs and have got there visas ok. Infact i think i will be doing the same, as it seems less hasle. They did phone vfs to enquire first and was told they can do this.

I accidentally put a single one, and got a single one! Usually get a multiple entry one, but never go more than once in a season, so will be OK.

Just been through the process with online and in person application to VFS Victoria.
While some people may consider this mad, I can get there easily and the post in my area is not reliable enough.

Filled in Online Sunday, got appointment for 11:45 monday.
Delivered the application on Monday, only 25 minute wait.
At 14:00 on Wednesday online tracking said ready for collection, quick trip to collect, no waiting, in and out in 4 minutes (home to home in 1h35m).

I found that my print of the online application came out with some blank fields on previous nationality/migration details - I asked at the counter they said no problem.
I had entered NA for Previous Nationality of my Parents, at the counter I noticed she hand-amended that to British with a black pen).

Overall the new system has advantages over the old.
No queueing a crack of dawn to get queueing ticket.
Much less waiting around.

Downside is that it now cannot be done (except for emergencies) in one day, so now rather than having to set a whole day aside and still not be sure that it will be done, it just takes a few hours on two days of my choice.

Have my fingers crossed Judsmiles, let's hope the visas are in your passports this time!! :cheers

Thanks miccie .... i'll let you know when to un-cross them!
I'm waiting for my postie now, royal mail tracking says the SD envelope is arriving today (my lovely hubby last night had every possible combination of bad dream senarios! :( )
I've got to admit I'm feeling a bit sick! :tongue
