There is a Caribbean Cruise on P&O Ventura (adult only ship?) departing 13 Dec for 14 days over Christmas departing Montego Bay ending New Orleans outside cabins including flights from £998 per person. I think this seems great value for over Christmas. Regional flights available. If I wasn't away at that time would I would snaffle it up, pity is I've already booked on another ship at a fairly higher price.
Thanks Traveller1 I think it's the Artemis. Well thats the P&O ship thats leaving Montego Bay on the 13th December and she is child free too.

Ventura now available in November with Cruise Kings (and probably others too) for 15 nights at £899 inside cabin, includes return flights and transfers!
This is my first time (well second attempt) at posting. I just wish to draw people's attention to an article in the front page of today's Telegraph on holidays and cruises. Since I am not allowed to give a link, you'll have to find it yourself but snippets include:
Dec cruise with Cunard around the Med reduced from £5,799 to £923
Carnival cancelled all Dover sailings next summer

Hi and welcome to HT!
I have moved your post to our Latest Deals topic where fast moving deals are posted.
However I looked at the Daily Telegraph to provide a link, but couldn't find the article you referred to.

I had a look for the info on the telegraph site two pages came up
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/sunandsea/3328256/This-winters-best-holiday-bargains.html
"12 nights on Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas to Nice, Florence, Rome and the Greek islands. Departs on December 6. Was £5,799, now £923 with 1st4cruising.com"
which is the price drop mentioned but wrong ship this should be under £600 so could be a suite.
this looks like the correct one

The article is not shown on the Telegraph website but if you do a google search for
"holiday prices slashed to sixth of value"
you will find the front page I was referring to.
Unfortunately, the Telegraph does not put everything online.
PS it's possible that the link to the pressdisplay website might disappear after today.

Incredible deal on Brilliance of Seas, early December (7th from memory) for 14 nights. Barcelona, round trip via Madeira, the Canary Islands, Casablanca, an overnight in Lisbon and one or two costa Del Sol ports. Inside at £599 with Cruise Kings. Weather in Med area could be dodgy but Madeira, Canaries and Casablanca much better!
I've just got an email from Smartcruiser with some hot, hot deals for the QM2 for Nov21, 29 and Dec.
Examples:-
All Caribbean, interior
8 night depart Nov 21 - from $460
10 night depart Nov 29 - from $554
10 night, depart Dec 9 - from $554
I expect these prices do not include taxes, fuel surcharges. port fees, flights etc but they sure look real low to me.

The full price for Nov 29 & Dec 9 goes to just over $700, which is incredible even at poor dollar exchange. The BIG problem though is very high flight costs, unless anyone knows where to get good prices!

With this credit crunch, I think it'll be safe to predict there will be even more great bargains in 2009. While this is good for those of us with the money to spend, I wonder how many cruise lines will go under as a result.
Back in May, I booked my Jade AB cabin for Aug 2009 as I thought they'll sell out which appears to be the case (plus the rates were very attractive then). However, it will not surprise me if NCL ends up selling the A3s for the price I paid for my AB. Certainly the overall cost of a A3 cabin has come down and is cheaper than what they were charging in May.

Single offer Gill travel 16
Azamara 3rd December unbelievable £945 transatlantic 16 nights! Great offer but not for me as I will already be away.
I think it is just a sign of things to come even for us solo travellers.
