Hi all, I'm considering Kusadasi next May. I last went there in 1989 as I can't stop going back to Marmaris but now I fancy a change of scenery, if only for a week. Any help with the following would be great:

1. Where to stay - I am looking for a nice self catering apartment (with pool area and bar) which is on the smaller and friendly side rather than one of these all singing-all dancing family resorts or flash German take-over places. I don't mind staying a short dolmus ride away from the centre but not right out in the sticks and please NOT on a busy main road! Can anyone throw some recommendations my way?

2. Names of any reputable local companies that do day trips to Ephesus or alternatively is it easy enough to get there under your own steam and if so, what is the best way and cost please?

3. Help on the nightlife front - recommendations on any lively bars/clubs and decent restaurants/lokantas with the accent on authentic Turkish food or steaks and seafood.

4. Any other must sees/do's to pack into a week - are there any good boat trips to go on or places of interest to while away a few hours within a reasonable distance of Kusadasi which are reachable by dolmus - nice walks or parks, etc?
