Is there an airport anywhere near Lincoln?

Sorry, my knowledge of that part of the UK is non-existent!

There's an event taking place in Lincoln on the evening of Saturday the 13th of December which I'd love to attend but I really don't fancy driving from Worthing to Lincoln.

Would it be feasible for me to fly instead? I could stay overnight and fly back the following morning if so.

nearest Major airport East Midlands at 70 km as the crow [or aircraft] fly's

or it will take around 4hr 20 min by rail [4 trains + underground] from Worthing station to Lincoln station

It's unlikely to be honest as I can imagine how expensive that would be! I'll take you up on your offer should we decide to explore other option further though ;)

Humberside (HUY) @30 miles
Doncaster (DSA) @37 miles
East Midlands (EMA) @49 miles

oh forgot about Scampton @3 mile ,if you can cadge a lift with the Red Arrows :D

Humberside! Now I wonder if one can fly (cheaply!) from Gatwick to Humberside?

around £80 to £280 depending on day and service required its around 360km in your little car thats about 3 hrs drive [traffic permitting] i reckon that will cost you around £28 each way in fuel plus tole fees [now £1-50 each way via Dartford crossing]

Saturday 13th of December, it's an evening thing so I'd want to fly up late morning to allow for delays. Can fly back any time Sunday morning.

sorry no direct flights showing for me :duh and the travel time between Humber airport and lincoln by express bus is 2 hrs aprox with one change.. next idea :que
