OK, I saw the news headine "India celebrates planting its flag on moon" and thought cool, that's quite an achievement.... Then I read the article associated with it http://www.physorg.com/news145950216.html...
I had to giggle to myself when I read..... that the flag they talk about "slammed into the surface at more than 3,100 miles (5,000 kilometers) per hour." and apparently this was planned (was that before or after it happened?)...
So funny....
i bet we will need a visa to go there now. what will we put on the application form for port of entry.
Whilst I endorse what Rob has said, yes this is a great achievement for India, but a bigger and better achievement would be spending money to reduce the population (and I don't mean a mass cull ) and reducing poverty. I have never understood why governments will spend so much money on a "race to the moon" - look after the people first. IMHO. Fizz
smudger2
I have been saying the same for years what a waste of money and recources
what does IMHO mean
Pat
It means either "in my humble opinion" or "in my honest opinion". In my case, I meant humble because I don't know enough about these things, I'm a simple person who sees that people suffer throughout India and who I feel need not do so. Money could be better spent......IMHO...Fizz
