Hi Everyone, have just booked the Sunset beach hotel Candolim from Manchester 16 Feb 2009. Just wondering if any one new if the flight from Manchester was direct or as a refuel Direct Holidays thought it was direct. Have been to goa twice in 2005 and 2006 so looking forward to going again, even though lots of people say it is more expensive. Isnt everywhere now. Not stayed at this hotel before so hopefully it will be ok.Looking forward to seeing relatives who live in Candolim going to surprise them.Cant wait going to fill in Visa's this weekend and then send off. Not looking forward to the malaria tablets has they make me so sick but will still take them. Hope the weather will be ok in Febarury only been in January before. Counting down the days. :
hotel is nice, the beds are so comfortable, and they have a nice bistro next door. a quick walk to the beach and you will be next to the Sea Princess if its still there.

Thanks very much sounds like the hotel is ok. Dont think the river princess will ever move
it is part of the beach now I think! Is the hotel the one close to the mermaid restuarant hope it is
the one I am thinking of.

Yes it is the one close to the Mermaid, opp the Whispering Palms hotel , but what I'd really like to ask is how did you get that name

Poohhead is because 1 I like pooh bear and sometimes my partner says my head is full of poo and never makes any sense in a funny way and 46 is because i like Valentino Rossi so nothing really special

We've stayed at the Sunset 5 times and it's a lovely hotel, as Jane says the beds are really comfortable and with the Bistro and the Mermaid next door you can't go wrong, can also recommend Ganesh Shack, he's a smashing guy. The weather in February will be great with plenty of lovely hot sun but without the humidity you get at the back end of March and April. I'm sure you will have lovely time.
