Glad you enjoyed it madge, you can't really fault it for location and like you said it is a bit tired looking but worth it just for location and the pool your right in the middle of everything its just ideal, How was the weather out there over christmas?
hi adj we done really well because before we got there it had been quite bad.we had a mixture of clody and sunny days to begin with then we had some really hot days one bad day but even that wasnt too bad and brightnened up for us.then on the 30th our last day it was dreadfull really heavy rain and a power cut in the apartments the electric was off for about 4 hours but hey it made going home a lot easier but thanks again we had a great time
Off to oasislanz in costa teguise on the 3rd may for 2 weeks can anyone give me any useful info where best to eat? what is there to do for a 3yr old? is the waterpark any good? and any other useful info about the oasis lanz or costa teguise would be appreciated
Thanks
Tracy
We stayed at Oasislanz for a week last june. Nice quiet complex. It has 2 pools. The one we were by had childrens area. Not sure about the other. Costa Teguise is a lovely resort for families. Two lovely beaches close to oasislanz. I personally wouldnt recommend the water park. Safety standards seem a bit down on other places we have been. Most restaurants have childrens menus. There is a good mix of Spanish English and other types all within easy reach of your hotel. Depends what you and your family like. Have a great holiday!
Thank you great info. What were the prices of snack bar at hotel and drinks? any reccomendations of places to eat?
For English food Splash and Cutty Sark on the front by the cucharas beach. Portofinos for Italian. El Patio in the pueblo marinero square is nice typical Spanish. Our favourite is La Ola on the front halfway along cucharas beach
i too am going to oasislanz in may! i have read on quite a few sites to avoid the water park as it seems rusty and unsafe! we were going to go but having read so many negative reviews and not one positive i think we'll save are money!
also been advised to take own hair dryer as one in appartment not so good!
hope that helps and maybe see you there? i will be surrounded by kids! (9 yr old, 3 yr old and 9 month baby) ahhhh. xx
going to oasislanz in may and was wondering if inflatables are allowed in swimming pools? heard mixed messages on this! and dont want to pack them if they're not allowed!thanx xxxxx
After much consideration we have changed our holiday and are no longer going to oasis lanz due to poor maintenance of apartments. Going to Cinco Plaza in peuto del carmen instead and can't wait.

Just wondered where you had herd of the poor maintenance at the oasis lanz i've been a few times and although there not exactly state of the art they have always been clean and the staff are very helpful. i suppose you get what you pay for although never had a problem with maintenance the apartments themselves are kept as well as can be expected and you cant beat it for location and price!!!! Plus i've booked the mother in law in there for a week from the 15th march so i hope its not gone down hill that much or i'm a dead man!
All the people who have been recently (trip advisor) give very poor reviews, this is from end of 2008 and this year. All the older reviews seem ok.
Also, on a general point re. eating out, there are a number of places that do a menu of the day (3 courses - bread and a drink) - anything from 7.50-9.50 Euro - really good value - places like the Galeon Grill (you can't miss the life size model of the cow outside) and Sausalito and Casa Luis at Playa Bastian.
I hope this helps

Has anyone been to Oasis Lanz recently (ie March/April 2009) Is it as tatty as I keep hearing? Also, is the waterpark as bad as everyone says? I'm taking 2 teenage boys in July and dont want to spend loads if they're going to be bored.
Any advice would be welcome!
me and my family went in december and we was very happy with the apartments very big too and everything you could possibly wish for location fab we are not fussy people but i do like cleanliness we were very happy
Thanks, that makes me feel better! It's been a long time since we had a holiday, I dreaded it being a let down. We went to Oasis in 1993 on honeymoon, it was lovely then but obviously it was a long time ago!
