hi all
last time i went in sousa lobos, had to wait forever to get my meal which was poor to say the least, there were three indians dressed as mexicans singing country and western very badly this was bizzare and unreal,we went in thinking our previous experiance may have been a one off due to the amount off good press they get but never again,i dont know who gives this place such good reviews but it is certainly bottom of the list for us

We agree about Suzy Lobos, can't understand why it always rated so high. There are far better restaurants around.

Although not our favourite we enjoy over the flames. I am sad to say we sometimes go to Molly Malones for a steak pie when we are curried out.

been to Molly Malones for the exact same reason Paul. After 10 curries an Irish Stew is a nice change :cheers Also the Bistro is good for a change from the spicy food.

Billybluenose have you tried Soueymans kitchen :tup fantastic
Master chef style food ,Fillet Steak like you've never had ,all cooked fresh and you can see into the kitchen and all at very reasonable prices ,about a £10 for 3 courses,a bit dear for goa but worth it and spotlessly clean. We went three times in two weeks. I know Mike Richardson has said there are some new ones opening and as it was him who first highlighted Soueymans I will trust his judgment :cheers

denham it is on the Calangute/Candolim rd going towards Candolim ,down a dirt road by after Seven, (there is a sign up) most of the Taxi Drivers know it :tup it is really worth a visit the only downside was the price of the wine it was :yikes and I know it is expensive in Goa but East meets West do a nice bottle for about £6

The OH and me always used to go to Suzy lobos a couple of times when we were in calangute. Last year we went and the day after I wasn't very well put it down to too much sun, the next week we went again and the OH was ill the next day, not been there since.

Can you tell me where Ku is please - it looks so unusual - think we would like to give it a try.

On the road from Morjim to Mandrem, turn left down the lane just before Papa Jolly's.
Follow the lane till it runs out of tarmac - then you're there.
