I've used him for 8 years, he is honest and does not overcharge. He stays very near the Marinha Dourada. So if anyone is looking for someone worth recommending. Here's the man.
Ive known Bharat for years too, he and Aggie at the little goan jewellery shop by Mackies are two of the few taxi drivers that are honest and reliable and dont cheat and they both have a wealth of information when you are out and about.

My GF contributed to his eye operation a few year s back, I've never seen someone so grateful for the gift. The year later he showed us all the receipts just to prove he was honest. I didn't doubt his honesty, some people you can trust in Goa.

Few and far between Big Neil forgot to say aggie drives a blue old taxi no 1586 he dosent have a mobile but if you meet him and his wife at the shop he is always willing to oblige.
Niel, we stay at the M/D and a few of us always leave our fishing tackle with Bharat (rods,reels hooks ect) as it saves us carting it home with us.He can then use it in the monsoon season,and as soon as we arrive at the M/D the stuff is waiting for us.He is a really good bloke and will always go out of his way to help if you need anything....Keith

I have a reliable taxi driver too he has a maruti van taxi and a new air conditioned car or as he says on his card A/C and non A/C cars - mobile numbers are 9822154797 and 9422739829 - his name is Lawrence Pereira. We have used him (or his brother Luciano) for many years and both are really nice guys. Luciano is very quiet and Lawrence is more chatty (better spoken English).
Kmowen- last twice in N Goa we have used Sergio - he's a great guy with good all round knowledge. My daughter was ill one day and looking for pharmacy, when he seen her he took her and explained her ailment and didn't want paid for it. His email is sergio6370@yahoo.com

yes i have to agree with fizzy2 Lawrance is great,apart fro doing our airport runs,he also took us out for days,he is fair and his knowledge of the area and its history is great.

Lawrence was our regular taxi driver on our first visit to Goa in 2001. We still see him now and again at the Big Banana shack.
KEn - Sergio only looks at his emails every few days when he goes into elephant shop so just wait a few more days - he's worth waiting for.
