I am off to Tenerife again on 5th September (yippee) and I have come across some old titsu bus tickets which I have had since April 2007 with about 12 euros still on them, would I still be able to use these?
Cheers
Jayne
Just put it in to the ticket thingy and see what happens.
If it does not work, try cash,
regards,
Billyboy.
Thankyou billyboy no harm in trying
Just had a look at our Titsa passes and there is no expiry date on it, we'll be using ours in 3 weeks.
I would try it. I found an old Bonbus ticket from several years ago and it was accepted no problems!
I think you have to use the BONO card within a year, however some seem to have used it anyway. But I also think you can exchange it for a new one at bus offices.
We are going to tenerife in a couple of weeks and are planning a day/half day to Los Gigantes to break up the monotony of our (excellent) All Inclusive hotel. Does anybody know if the green buses run regularly from playa paraiso to the playa la arena/los gigantes area. We are planning to view a new hotel in playa la arena for which we are booked in may 2009 and also have a few hours around los gigantes. Also, does anybody know approx. how much the bus fares are ? as we once took the titsa bus from PDLA to Puerto De La Cruz and it cost us a fortune.
You can actually download a timetable on the web...not sure of the exact web address but its easy to find if you google it...not sure of the price, it costs 2.20euros from golf del sur to playa de las americas, so I boubt it'll cost much more than about 4euros.
The bus you need is the 473 which is routed along the coast and round the villages from Los Cristianos to Los Gigantes. It runs every 30 mins in each direction from 6am to 10pm. If you buy a bono pass from the shops newsagents etc the fares should be cheaper.
Staying between Los Cristianos/Las Americas in Dec/Jan can anyone tell us what the bus service is like to get around the island?
Excellent, cheap and air conditioned,
get your self a bono card 12 euros good services but some of the drivers are mad as are the taxi men
I understand you can get a bono card to travel on buses. What exactly is this and where can you get it?
At the bus station.
On long trips it gives you a discount of almost 50%.
Any number of trips or people can use the same card.
A must have if you use the TITSA bus,
Billyboy.
