Could be interested in the 1st August one as it's school holidays. Who else is selling it?
Many thanks
Pam

11th August is cheaper if you can find cheap flights with one of the budgets this is an excellent deal for school holidays

look on skyscanner see if there are any resonable flights for those dates
we paid more than this about 10 years ago for the same crusie with Airtours this is excellent for what I think is a 5* cruise line
Just had a check look on skyscanner and if you can do London Stanstead easyjet have a flight for £73.98 return each with 1 bag each
I wouldnt hang around if this is the sort of price ou like this wont last long
cruise is £737 each for inside on a GTY base with all the tax's and extras
Im not sure how easy it is to get from the airport to the post but Im sure either someone here or someone on cruisecritic would be able to help with that
Thank you- will have a look into it. Lots of useful information there, much appreciated.

The tide has certainly turned now regarding booking with a US agent. When the dollar rate was riding between $2.00and $2.10 there was excellent value to be had. Now at just under $1.40 the cost of dollar priced deals in sterling are 50% higher than they were last year!!

15June Southampton to Lieth with one way shuttle bus
£333 outside on FO site.
The open jaw cruises tend to not be that attractive due to transport issues
Flybe have a flight to Southampton on the 21st at 10:45 £28
(the ship gets in a 1:45 so should not be a problem getting the flight)
I know MSC don't have a very good reputation, but they are offering a 3 day cruise from Dover on 18 May for £99 in any grade of cabin including balcony and also no single supplement, if anyone's interested. MSC Orchestra Dover to Copenhagen.
Good price but open jaw so not easy/cheap to tie up with the departure port.
I spotted them when I found the cheap mini cruises with Holland America
EasyJet on the 21st £21 +bags same for 22nd to make the most of Copenhagen which is well worth a good look
I cant find the cruise on MSC...were did you spot it?
Had an email direct from MSC. It said phone to book. (I am signed up to all the cruise line websites so they send emails of latest offers.) So anybody interested should give them a ring. Obviously its cheap because it isn't a round trip, but still seems a bargain! It's weekdays though - not over a weekend, which is another drawback, as it uses up more leave.
Total therefore is £955, but the real deal occurs if you go out a week earlier to take the final 7 day cruise before the Transatlantic, as cruise only for that is also about £260 for an inside guarantee. This means that for just over £1200 you get a 22 night cruise, including about 10 days in the Caribbean itself. You cannot do that one on-line as the flight for the 7 day element in the sytem is a return flight costing megabucks. You need to call the number on the RCI web-site and they will include one-way air only coming to the price I mention.
We held this one for 24 hours between yesterday and today but, sadly, my wife cannot get a weeks additional leave and she will not let me go on a single basis (which is also very well priced). Another tip (no pun) is to prepay gratuities which are just under £6pppd. If you do this on board the charge is in dollars, and at present exchange rates equates to just under £8pppd.
Late edit: Went into the site to check the 55+ rate and you would save £34 on the transatlantic. Whilst in I noticed that the earlier week has increased by £140 so the 22 nighter now comes in at £1350ish less £34 for the over 55's.
I have not checked all the options to optimise connections
LHR to JFK with air lingus £200
and JFK to Domin $200
There may be other options/variations a bit cheaper but still need to add the connection costs and hotel.

On the website you will see lead inside cabins for the 15 night transatlantic for £260 cruise only including all taxes etc. The flight is one way only from Heathrow to Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic and the cruise ends at Harwich, then you will be coached to Heathrow if that suits. Air and transfer is £695 which seems quite steep for a one way, but they take you out the previous day (18th) with a hotel overnight which means you have a full day in Santo Domingo before sailing at 9.00pm. You can book it, and see the itinery, on the RCI website. For a transatlantic the itinery is good, especially at the European end, and the route out from Caribbean is truly well south in the warm transatlantic area.

Looked again this morning, and the price of the 7 day cruise is back down to £260ish for inside guarantee again!! W'J post about alternative, and cheaper flight on a DIY is definitely worth looking into. Remember if you do that to get out a couple of days (at least one) before the cruise, and also bear in mind that with RCI the transfers are included, as well as an hotel overnight.
I checked one Baltic trip on the Jewel 10th may for a mini(AF) 3pax, direct with NCL so before agent discounts.
US $4500
UK £4200
any advice?
also after recommendations for a ship as OV2 wont be doing the caribbean next year and not sure if i fancy the itinerary on OV1 as it is very similar to our last one.
cheers
An AI offer on NCL from cruiseclubuk not sure if it is elsewhere.
24May 5 nights
insides £449 (none on NCL site)
OV £549
Balconise £649
This is more than NCL(UK cheapest) regular prices for this trip but for the drinkers it is £20pppd towards the drinks which is cheap.
the Balcony (BDtype) cabin is
£649 - Passenger 1& 2
£549 - Passenger 3& 4
= Average £599 per person
The Mini Suite (AFtype) is
£749 - Passenger 1&2
£649 - Passenger 3&4
= Average £699per person
compared to no drinks package we can have a courtyard for £570 each or balcony for £350 each
