                Looks like we might be getting somewhere, phoned Thomas Cook up and they have told me Thomas Cook have ALOT of outstanding problems with Flamingo and by the sounds of it if you have booked to go after April you will be switching hotels and have also been told Thomas Cook have pulled the plug on the hotel from the end of April also.

Have the Flamingo Oasis replied to your e-mail, Direct Holidays haven't rang me. I think the hotel are storing all the e-mails up and not replying to any. If they saw this forum they'd realise what damage they're doing to the hotel as people won't book after this fiasco and it's mostly only British visitors, just a few Spanish at weekends.

                I have rang up Direct 3 days in a row now to pay for my Easter holiday whilst I have the money in my account two days they told me they couldn't get my booking up for the moment and they would call back which is fair enough but they never called back so I called again today my booking comes up this time but no they cant allocate a 'single' room now for one adult and apparently have been trying to contact me since last month which they haven't. I've been offered my Full deposit back which now I have to copy my bank statement for proof so have to look through them all now.
I have rang up F.O who are quoting me £1.300 for accommodation for the 2 weeks which from just over £950 is to big a jump I have tried to look at doing DIY with hotels.com alpha rooms but they are coming up at £1400-1500 I said to my dad I thought that price was too good to be true.
The problem has come down to like LindaSmith's situation last time all because its a single room they don't seem to like allocating them for some reason probley because they can still put 2 people in them rooms and they wont the most money.
Anyway I have to copy this bank statement now I wont my deposit back ASAP and then I will have to look for an alternative.
I feel for my friends as I feel im getting in the way of their plans now.
Will let you know what happens now im very upset.

                Im starting to get worried about this hotel! Really debating wether to book the place! cus everyone seems to be having problems lately! Looks like a nice hotel too!                 We had booked to go with Danny as a family which we have done for the last three holidays and really enjoyed ourselves.  We certainly don't want to go without him so I'm ringing Direct Holidays tomorrow to give them a piece of my mind.  Surely if Danny paid the deposit for the room in September that room should be his.  How can they allocate his room to someone else so that they can get more money when they've already got his deposit for the room.  What a cheek to say he won't lose anything, he can have his deposit back.  He'd already paid more for that room than we paid for the double room.  
As the Flamingo Oasis confirmed they had spare rooms why didn't Direct Holidays get another room for the two people, it's disgusting to treat him like that. This is the first time we've booked with Direct and the last.

DannyH.....what a situation for you, you know what happened to me, but you were allocated that single room when you booked surely??? That was my argument. The time before last, when we took my grandson, we booked with Jet 2 holidays, and the single room was ready and waiting no fuss or anything.
I really don't know what's happening there but I must admit I'm a bit wary about even going.
Another thing, I was checking Thomsons site to see the rooftop situation, and just out of curiosity I checked the price for the 2 weeks we're going, It came up as (for 2 people) £1,443-70 for room only, but (wait for it) £577 each for a full package holiday flying from Manchester.                 Just did a quick check on Jet 2 holidays, and they are showing single room available 4th-18th April, so the F/O must have them! Grrrr it makes me angry....

                Danny, it was £900 and something can't remember the exact amount, maybe £934 ??? and it definatley said 1 person travelling, then when the room details came up it said 1 adult.
