still waiting to find out carol, anytime i phone they say they are still waiting to hear back from reps in resort, must be snail mail they use instead of email.
ok just got off phone to them again , and this time i have been told that they are NOT sending anyone to the flamingo,they have received an email advising that no one will be going here, i have asked wot my options are and i need to wait till i receive a letter from them as they are only dealing with april holidays at the moment, so anyone going in april,get on the phone to them, so im in limbo (as they say) till i receive official letter and then they can change my holiday free of charge or cancel. Now i tried to ask how long and as far as he knows it could take a couple of month to get said letter, so in meantime they have got my money and we have no holiday, and i really dont have enough just now to hand out on another deposit.
Does that mean i wont be able to go in June?

I've just rang Direct they have said we're definitely going to the Flamingo Oasis on 4th April otherwise there would have been some information on our details on the screen. I've asked him to put this in writing, we'll wait and see but if we don't hear any more we'll be back on the phone again.

i dont know how long to give them before i call back,can i demand my refund? or do i have to wait for the official letter, i cant plan anything else till i get it, direct holidays are needing to get there act together.
Audbod I'd try to get my money back immediately if possible so that you can look for another holiday. Trouble is all holidays are more expensive than when you booked and you got a good deal. We don't trust Direct Holidays any more and wonder what they'll do next.
carol , i would check and check again that ur going here, the guy i spoke too today definately said they were sorting through april departures just now, and that it would take a couple of month before i get my letter,and i did try to explain that by that time there would be limited availability left, they just dont care.
hi Audbod they are still selling holidays to FO on the direct site for April. You really dont know what to think do you. Its just an awful situation to be in. Leaving people in limbo. Hope it gets sorted for all of us. Carol

Ive also had answers today, same as above Thomas cook has pulled out of FO and anyone going after April will not be stopping in that hotel. Elaine at Direct holidays rang someone called Andy who is in Benidorm and they only found all this out yesterday was told our letter will be here in 4-5 days so will keep you posted was ment to be going 16th june. Looks like i will never be going back to the FO and i loveed the hotel 
liana, that really is discusting, so it looks as though this is gonna be thomson's only hotel out of the 2 tour ops. which at the f.o is thomsons and thomas cooks

You can E.mail the F.O.hotels owners at menendez@MedPlaya.com. I have just contacted them again to get a confirmation what is happening with skyline pool/bar area and if TC have pulled out.
Hi everyone... first post... regarding the FO... thomson and thomas cook are not the only british tour company that use the hotel . I am going there next Tuesday with flyglobespan and back again in September. The globespan website is still taking bookings to FO up to the end of this year . When I go next week I will be asking many questions about the current situation ie.. Rooftop pool ..Thomas cook etc. I have noticed a big difference in this hotel in the past few years and not for the better, they do not even reply to e-mails now where they would have in the past etc..
ain, look forward to hear what they have to say,I am due to go there on the16th of may with thomas cook.
