Just got back from two weeks in the Grand Pasa Marmaris and thought I would post a bit about our stay.

We had a few minor hitches here and there, we booked a private transfer thinking we would be out of the airport sharpish...wrong lol We had spent over half an hour looking for our driver (we were informed we would not miss him he would have our names on a placard) Another driver spotted us (looking bemused and slightly forlorn) and led us to him there was someone elses details on his card so no wonder we couldnt find him lol he kept us waiting until 5.30am (our flight landed at 3.30am) When we finally got over the mountain and into Marmaris he got lost lol not a notion of where he was going at all, he asked us for directions then took us to the wrong hotel We were in Icemeler at one point

All grumpiness disappeared when we got to our room, was everything you could ask for and the complimentary refreshments went down a treat. We had a sleep then late breakfast and were raring to go!
We could not fault this hotel the food is the best we have ever had on an all inclusive, in fact we have never seen such an array of food in one place! (my tight waistband can vouch for that lol) The chefs are there cooking at meal times, for breakfast they will cook your eggs any way you wish, at dinner they are there grilling the meat. There is plenty of choice you certainly wont go hungry. The choice of drinks at the bar was also very good, try the strawberry laquer just make sure they put a mixer in it!!

The hotel is also spotless throughout the cleaners do a great job working morning to night always with a smile.
As for Marmaris, we had a lovely time. We had a few shop keepers shouting and yelling (nearly stopped me going back after last time!) we thought the best way to deal with it is to laugh it off, and not get offended there are too many nice Turkish people to let a few spoil it. We even found that laughing and answering back turned into good humered banter! Got some bargains (handbags t-shirts the ususual) Found a lovely open air night market, lots of stalls selling handmade things, bought some jewellery and hand crochet bits and bobs for next to nothing.
Also went to Icemeler for a stroll around met some lovely people in the shops and bars think its a lot more relaxed there not so pushy.
The weather was great a few cloudy days and the most spectacular storm on our last weekend even managed to catch lightning on my camera! Was a bit nippy at night my cardi came in handy.
We ate out a few nights again food was lovely prices have gone up a bit but nowhere near what we had expected having read some reviews. We had Kebabs from the place opposite the Tansas was around 18 Lira including chips salad and drinks was scrummy would recommend trying it. In our opinion Turkey is still inexpensive. Effes was between 2-5 lira, spirits 6-8 and cocktails 10 Lira l with lots of places doing BOGOF one of the cheapest places hubby found for his beloved effes was on the marina front .
Can't wait to go back roll on next year, Marmaris and the Grand Pasa it is!
A big thank you to everyone on here who answered questions for me! Happy holidays!
If anyone has any questions about the hotel ask away
