hi yes there are as many toilet stops as you need at service stations etc. the bus ride seems to go quite quickly.
the rapids are up to grade 7 which was quite scary but an amazing experience and with an excellent guide.
they do collect and drop you off at your hotel specify at time of booking.
i didnt see anywhere where you could book this tour but i wasnt really looking as i prefer to book online before we get there as didnt want to waste any time trying to find out where to go etc.

i wanted to do the skywalk but didnt because everywhere i read people seemed to be saying it was a rip off charges for this and that and a lot of waiting round.

hope this helps :tup

We have not done the tour but drove out there in 2006 (the skywalk was still on the floor) the Indian reservation is worth seeing but the western town / gunfights were poor (it cost extra). The main attraction is the lack of safety barriers at the canyon, you can hang your feet over ect it really was an awsome day out and we may well go again this year.
The main bad point was the drive out. the road (if it could be called that) is a very badly rutted very twisty dirt track that goes on for about 20 miles. There were plans to pave it but from talking to the guide out there they ran out of money. (it may well be better now) we had a 4 wheel drive Dodge Durango and still struggled in a couple of places, god knows how you would get on in a normal car :que

We had done the small plane fly over before which we thought was poor but we were all blown away with the views from the top, helped by a storm coming in :yikes the sky was purple / black by the time we left.

I heard that you weren't allowed to take a camera on the skywalk, if you want pics, you have to buy them for $20 each or something like that? Not sure if that's changed now but I certainly heard it was a bit of a rip off.

If you drive yourself to where the skywalk is situated then you will not get any change from $100 ! Once you pay the $30 or so to go, there add ons as well, $20 for parking !

We have decided not to do it, i looked on you tube skywalk and thought my money would be better spent elsewhere. I havent read any good reviews about it, especially on here and trip advisor. There was a safety issue as well with young children etc.

As we have only around 8 weeks to go :D I was wondering if any of you can remember or have been on a quad biking trip through the canyon and near the Colorado river? There is a site on the net that sells them, but most of my trips i will book there.

Thank you

We flew to the grand Canyon in a helicopter from Vegas airport, It was expensive but it truly was well worth every penny to be honest.
