We are thinking of doing Disney Florida this year with our 2 boys, but it will have to be in school summer holidays. Hubby is not too keen but I have shown him the cruises that go from Port Canaveral and we have decided we may go for this!
Am not really sure where to start pricing this up as is it not a standard holiday. Virgin do a similar sort of package but it is £1700 a head for August! Can anyone point me in the best direction where to book flights etc. and also would it be better to book the cruise with a US or UK agent, US prices seem to be really good. I have priced up flights through Expedia etc, and they are coming up around £600/£700 return per person. We done a DIY package to New York last year and saved loads, but so far I have not managed to find any good flight or fly drive deals at all. I know accommodation can be booked easily enough so am not too worried about this side of things. I would really appreciate any help or adcie
last time i booked first choice airways charter flights, royal caribbean cruise, a seperate car hire and seperate accommodation.
Am doing the same this year but am booking virgin flights.

royal caribbean are excellent, plus this year, they have one of there biggest ships based in port canaveral which is a good port as its closest to orlando.
The USD/GBP exchange rate will mean that if you are buying the cruise or accommodation direct from a US supplier in USD$ then the cost will be around 36% more than the same purchase this time last year. For example a $2500 cruise will cost £1838 on today's 1.36 rate against £1344 last year. On the other hand many tour operators have forward bought their USD$ (hedged) and can offer a better price on the cruise/accommodation as have priced holidays between the 1.58-1.90 rate.
The other benefit of course is that you will have financial protection if the travel agent or tour operator has ATOL or other indemnity insurance. This won't be the case if you book with a US supplier direct over the web.
Be sure and check out Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas, sailing from Port Canaveral, alternate weeks to East or West Caribbean resorts. It is a fabulous ship..
