The theme seems to be rising Thomson prices!! Remember they are taking over one of the Island ships, the Escape I think and the Star is going somewhere else. Island will cease to be, therefore competition in that two to three star package market is much less than before when Island cruises off-peak sometimes were as low as £299 for a one week cruise, close to sailing day!
I have said often there are far better lines available at similar, or even lower, prices and re-iterate that fact.
It is the 'Pearls of the Agean' which we were interested in. Don't suppose you can recommend any other lines with a similar itinerary? Cheers
will let you know..

Are a few I found for June/July plenty to consider
also the more upmarket do thes area but pricy.
I have booked with Thompsons tonight by telephone. We are doing the 'Hellenic Treasures' on the Calypso, 7 days, 11th - 18th May. Even though the drinks package has now gone up to £169.00 on the web-site, they have offered total AI price of £938.00 each from local airport.
I was going to book here:http://www.cruise.co.uk/cruise-lines/thomson-cruises/
- they are offering 10% discount + £49 drinks package for Celebration & Calypso sailings - booked in Feb. for May - Sept. sailings.
We would perhaps have got it cheaper if we waited, but thought this price wasn't too bad.
I have paid £480 + £ 169 AI = Total £649 All inclusive which I feel is good value. So for me its always worth waiting. If you dont want the AI it is even better, as you would just be paying for something you dont want if you book early and pay top dollar for "free" AI.
We have done the colourful coast cruise for the last 3 years. All in March & have had very good weather & like you got a really good deal. Think that we will do this one in November this year & wait until last minute! Have a lovely time.
