Hi,
just booked a Gulet holiday with Anatolian Sky for October 12th. Got a really good deal..
has anyone been with them before - or been on a Gulet holiday? Would love some comments.
Could anyone also tell me what the weather will be like mid October?
many thanks

Weather mid october is usually lovely and warm in the day but it can get a bit chilly at night, especially on a boat so you may want to bring a light jacket for the evenings. The sea should be nice too as it has had all summer to warm up.
Have a good trip

I've been on two so far (going on another in June) and found them incredibly relaxing. Some people think that to be couped up on a boat for a week you'd start going stir crazy but it's far from it. There seems to be space for everyone without feeling on top of people. Loads of swimming to be done, food to be eaten (which is delicious - traditional Turkish food), depending on the route you take you could call in to a couple of harbours and go off the boat if you wish, lots of wonderful scenery to look at and bays to be explored.
Going in mid October is right at the end of the season for most gulets and sometimes the weather is a little mixed. Although having said that I know someone who went on one last June and they got caught in a tremendous thunderstorm! As the previous poster has said, the evenings can get quite chilly so take a fleece or light jacket but the days will be warm. The sea will be a lovely temperature then as well.
I haven't been on a gullet cruise, but I have been on a holiday with Anatolian Sky, although it was a few years ago. They were absolutely excellent, nice personal service. The rep in resort was extremely friendly, helpful and very efficient and didn't go for the hard sell as you often get with tour ops. If they are still as good, would definitely recommend them!
thanks guys - looks good, can't wait now...
We went on a Gulet Cruise with Anatolian Sky a couple of years ago. it was brilliant. Best we've been on. The Captain and crew were excellent on the The Semercioglu and it was a really nice boat. I have some pictures on my Flickr page you may like to look at. We did the Fethiye to Kas route and we visited a fabulous place - Kekova. It was totally unexpected as the previous gulet we had been on hardly stopped anywhere. We had a good stroll around and a couple of beers there,it was so nice. The Captain also took us to his friends bar to watch football one evening. Food was really nice, loads of tasty vegi dishes, and barbeque most nights. You will have THE BEST time
Thanks very much - the pictures look great - can't wait
