Hi was wondering if anyone can help, my partner and I are going to Cyprus for the first time in May we are staying in the Cosmelinia Apartments Nissi Bay was wondering if anyone could recommend any nice restuarants locally, is there many shops in Nissi Bay itself or will we have to go to Aya Napa, we did get a good deal for this holiday so hoping its going to be ok as we just enjoy relaxing on the beach or by the pool and a nice meal and walk in evenings looking in the shops and local bars.
We are also hoping to hire a car as i heard they drive on the same side of the road as us but what concerns me is i have the old type driving licence not picture one and was told couldnt hire a car with this, does anyone know. Many thanks in advance.
nissi bay is a subdistrict od Agia Napper, if you look through the resteraunt recomendation thread you will find recomendations in that area

yes they drive on the correct side of the road
you normally need both parts of your photo driving licence [however some hire companies are shall we say blind in one eye where business is concerned]
the road signs are in the main the same as ours [ watch out on the motorways these sign "exodos" means exit ] but do remember the drink driving limit is low enough that one pint of beer/half a Cypriot measure of spirit or a small glass of wine will put you over

Never had a problem in Cyprus hiring cars with old type licence. My wife hired one last week from Larnaca Airport and they didn't give it a second look 
To expand on Wizards point about exodos, it's ΕΞΟÎâ€ÂΟΣ in Greek on the signs.
And yes, driving is on the left.

the roads are just like driving in the uk except they are dry
Go to Macaronnisis beach just up from Nissi, its superb
