Have you asked your practise nurse at your GP's they have the up to date info.
I know when we went to Cancun, but that was 9 years ago now and we were recommended to take Avloclor.

I wouldn't bother with anti-malaria drugs to go to Playacar. We went there 2 years ago and had no probs. Having said that I know some people like to be extra careful and do take medication. If I was you I'd seek advice from my GP and then decide for myself. Imo the majority of holidaymakers to the tourist resorts of Mexico, don't bother.
