We walked up in open toe sandals, but i would wear boots next time. There are a lot of steps, and a lot of passing people on their way down, on steps. We slept on top in a sleeping bag and it was very cold in April, then you are woken up by all the early birds who must have walked part way in the dark! If you are a walker it will be no trouble.

I walked it when I had a heart condition, no problem. It's well worth doing. We walked in three quarter trousers, I took a light weight cardigan, but didn't need it. Take toilet roll with you, as the toilets in the bedwin camps are disgusting, and you have to pay to use them We had a great time doing it

What is this trip? Too cold i would imagine in November, but was thinking of doing the stars and dinner, not sure if it is worth doing though?

We spoke to a couple on our recent trip who'd been on the stars and dinner, and they had a great time. They said they'd definately recommend it May we did the mount sinai trip. Basically you walk up the mountain during the night, and get up to the top in time to watch the sun rise. Absolutely beautiful. I can't quite remember the time scale, as it's a while ago now, but I think it took roughly 4/5 hours to walk up it, and obviously a lot quicker to come down it

Thanks everyone for your replies, just make sure I have decent footwear on and something warm with me. I am practicsing by walking up 6 flights of stairs at work everyday, although I do live in a four storey house as well.

Hi it depends what time of the year you are going and are you doing the walk up at night to watch the sunrise?? It does get very cold.

Hi Nana, we are going out on 31 March for 2 weeks. Don't know whether we are going to do the sunrise or sunset, depends what is on offer by the our companies really. Does anyone thin one is better than the other?
