We have booked with Thomson for 1 week safari then 1 week beach hotel Mombasa in June.We fly to Mombasa,then fly to Niarobi to start our safari.
The travel agent seems a bit hazy about what luggage to take with us and what happens to the luggage not required on Safari.Has any one done similar safari who can help with advice about this.

Not done it - but the info was straightforward; main luggage will be locked up at the airport in Mombasa and collected after the safari. You should take a second bag with your safari clothes. Some reports state their is a local charge for luggage storage.
We go in October, but will chill at the hotel for a few day sfirst, then go on safari. This costs more because we still have our hotel room.
