With the death of XL Airways, this has been a disaster for holidays flying out from Scotland.
For an example Olympic Holidays only have packages to Rhodes from 10 June to 15 July.
Libra and Sky do not have any packages from Scotland to Rhodes at all this year.
The Thomas Cook Group now has a monopoly on most Greek holidays from Scotland.
I have been lucky enough to have booked this years hols last year and also received a refund from Olympic for my cancelled holiday on 3 June.
But I wonder how this will reflect in next year's prices.
What about Globespan?
Thomson / Tui also have packages from Scotland, but I must agree the availability of flights and destinations from Scotland is very limited now.
As regard the cost of holidays somebody is having a laugh but it certainly isn't us the paying customers, or as is more likely the situation now, the non paying customers as many people will not be able to afford the ridiculous prices being charged by tour operators
I know a lot of people are aprehensive about doing this, But their is nothing to it at all providing you do your homework on everything.
I was trying to book the holiday I wanted from Scotland to Tenerife with Thomsons, but every time I tried, the flight out was from Manchester. Got booked and cheaper with Globespan. Third time flying with them and find them really good.
