Well, I have just asked my dad and he definitely got Schwepps tonic water from Carrefour. I also asked my husband, who was a barman in Turkey for 10 years and he said they used it in all the bars he worked at too. So I'm sure you wont have too much problem finding it :cheers

I am sure the Hemera hotel had Schwepps tonic water. They also had Gordons gin. :D

That's intersting su-e, it was start of last October when we couldn't get tonic anywhere round Bodrum or Gumbet or Konacik. I hope for my sake there's plenty this year as my wife won't touch the Turkish tonic water.

sorry to have to pop into this post..but as a resident of Turkey for over 13 years I cant believe that Schwepps tonic water is hard to come by...I have found it many many times and even in small shops..it is very poplular in Turkey and comes in orange or lime/lemodade flavors as well..my kids love it and they always want it when we go to the movies here in Antalya..and we can even find it in the smallest of markets here in Antalya as well as the small markets in the village of Cirali..

So I cant believe the length of this post over tonic water.. :rofl

I am pretty sure that Schwepps is bottled and distrubuted by the Coca Cola company here in Turkey..you can get every type of soft drink here in Turkey except...Dr. Pepper..

Thanks Caretta - it really was just a simple question!

Perhaps it was just in a specific area that for a while it was really difficult to come by? Maybe a Schwepps delivery lorry broke down or something?! Because there was definitely a tonic water crisis when I was there. You couldn't even get the Turkish brand. It didn't last very long though so don't worry :) I'm sure there was even an article in one of the Turkish online newspapers about it but for the life of me I can't find it.

I can't believe that a thread on the subject of tonic water is creating so much interest either (she says making sure that it goes to the top of the list again!)

I know, it has gone on a bit for a simple question (now I'm putting up again) :rofl I did say at the beginning it was widely available :cheers
